Col. Michael Warner resigned tonight as Burlington County Republican Chairman. Vice Chairwoman Dawn Lacey is serving as Acting Chairman, and lobbyist Bill Layton -- ex-County Chairman Glenn Paulsen's next door neighbor, is running the county organization.
+++++
Dear Republican County Committee Member:
It has been an honor to have served as your Chairman since December 15, 2004.
Public service has been an integral part of my life. The devotion to duty which characterized my almost thirty year Army career has been my guidepost in all my civilian leadership positions.
While I never sought the Party Chairman’s post many leading figures in our party urged me to step up to the plate when a vacancy arose in 2004. Out of duty, I agreed to lead our Party and meet the many challenges before us. I am proud of the changes made to revitalize our organization and address misperceptions held by some members of the public.
Despite a poisonous national environment for our Party, I’m very proud to have led our Party to victories in November 2005, and again in November 2006, with the exception of the surrogate’s post.
I am also very proud of the 2007 ticket which I helped assemble. Our Sheriff and Freeholder candidates, 7th District team, and 8th District team, along with Assemblyman Joe Malone in the 30th District, are the strongest and most dynamic candidates to be found anywhere in the state.
Finally, I’m very proud to have worked closely with our reform-minded Freeholder Board in charting a course of providing accountable, cost-efficient government which respects the taxpayers. I fervently believe that good government is good politics. Our Burlington County Government is progressive, visionary, and a leader in so many areas. Given this remarkable record of serving the people, it is of paramount importance that we fight to ensure our Freeholder Board remains solidly Republican.
Since we’ve recently nominated our candidate team in the primary, and while we gear up to wage aggressive campaigns this fall, now is the right time for a united party. With heartfelt gratitude to all those who helped, I’m stepping down as Chairman effective today.
While no longer at the helm, I will continue volunteering my time to help our candidates win. There are surely challenges ahead for our Party, but with a team of first-rate candidates and a record of putting the taxpayers first, we will be victorious.
Thank you for all you do for the Republican Party. Now, let’s unite and work hard to ensure that November 6, 2007 is a winning day for all of us.
Sincerely,
Michael L. Warner

Warner is a good man who is
Warner is a good man who is unfairly taking the fall. Not fair at all. Who sould really take the fall is the "solidly Republican" freeholder board and Diane Allen who has refused to even speak out once about the rampant corruption within her party in Burlco, such as with the bridge commission and with the Martha Bark scandal. But it's now with the voters who have a chance to elect solid, ethical individuals like Bader to the freeholder board and Dennison so that Allen is booted out.
Who the Heck is Bader???
Again NO one knows who this man is AND what he has done to even be considered for freeholder! When Dennison loses to Allen will he consider running again??? With that being said, how come you refuses to acknowledge corruption done by the democrats? If you want to be taken credibly, you need to acknowledgde problems on both sides of the aisle. So far you have yet to even accept that fact. Sometimes this is exactly what an organization needs to pick themelves off and move forward. If you do not know who Dawn Lacey is, she takes NO C&^&&T and will give Perr a run for his money. This is the best move IMHO and juswt what the GOP needed. Also, you forgot one more race the GOP will win handidly Jean Stansfield will win in a walk against Braxton. Beng one of the first female sheriffs in the state and a good one for Burlco, this seat will stay GOP.
I admit that I am outraged
I admit that I am outraged over the alleged corruption of plenty of Democrats such as Bryant and now Sharpe James. If they are found guilty, I hope they get very severe penalties for violating the public's trust. I don't like corruption in any form, that's for certain. Anyway, check out Bader's biography on the bulcodems.org website. He's a very accomplished man as is Braxton. I will admit that Braxton faces a longer shot than Bader because Braxton is running against a well known Stansfield.
Warner - Good Man
That letter says it all.
He certainly accomplshed a lot as chair to include cleaning house and establishng strong candidates.
He is an honorable person that acted in the best interests of the organization.
Mistake
The county organization certainly made a mistake in pushing out Mike. He injected new blood into just about every segment of the party - with the exception of the surrogate race. It is a shame (and a sham) that he is being criticized by the "old guard" who want things to return to a time when those same members had less say in the day-to-day operation of the party. Anyway, it will be interesting to see what some high profile members of the party think about this situation and whether their financial backing will cease.
answering the mail
I was on the Burlington County Republican Committee, and wrote letters to Frank Lobiondo, Glenn Paulsen and Colonel Warner - as recently as two weeks ago - and got no response. Not even a thank you. When I was on the committee, it met just three times in two years. And, of course, when I donated money to our legislative candidates, and the Burlco Republican Women, I got no thank you card, either. The organization wins, no question, but a little courtesy would go a long way.
I've heard plenty of stories
I've heard plenty of stories like that in the past about these people, especially Diane Allen. I don't think people on this site or around the rest of the state are gripping how tired the people of the 7th are of her nose-in-the-air attitude. They want one of their own to lead them. That's Dennison.
Boss Paulsen
Its nice to see that the Boss-system in NJ is alive and well for the GOP too.
DOLLAR GLENN
So, the Paulsen Crew is once again holding the reins. I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. The GOP is in deep trouble and they want to return to the old big money days of business as usual. The "FOR SALE" sign just got put back up in Burlington County !
Bader is DONE
Bader shot himself in the foot with his anti-labor statement in the paper. He has no chance of winning without the backing of labor.
Bader article: http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/112-07112007-1376153.html
I think you're miscontruing
I think you're miscontruing his statement. His statement does not reveal in any way that he is anti-labor. "High Taxes," what you especially , b/c of your name on here, and all of us should really be focusing on is the increase in county spending by something like four times the rate of inflation. 34 of 40 municipalities taxes will increase b/c of that budget.
Tell that to the Unions.
The unions don't see it that way.
and your pic is gay!
Who do you know involved
Who do you know involved with unions? Oh, I forgot, you're their official spokesperson. Anyway, nice to see such maturity. Grow up.
Boss Paulsen
If the Boss is back - That sounds good to me! Call him what you want - as long as you call him a WINNER!
Now Ron
That is the problem being a novice to politics like bader and dennison; everything that you say CAN be misconstrued.
Without a strong platform to run on and strong ideas that are not just "lets hate bush" that is going to be hard. Trust me, last year was the year that was major anti bush because the vote of the public showed their discontent. This year it is more local than not and in reality; many people are tired of the hate bush because hating bush has nothing to do with the raising of taxes, corruption in Trenton, etc.
But remember, many people who post on this line truly have issues; I just laugh and ignore them because it is not worth the time to respond!
Yes, some of the people who
Yes, some of the people who post are beyond immature. Anyway, I stand by what I noted about Bader's comment. Concerning Dennison, I can assure you you won't see even one comment that can be misconstrued. He is the definition of sharp. Being an attorney from a top law school and having worked for the Clinton White House in a speechwriting capacity, I think he's going to scare the heck out of Diane Allen with just how sharp he really is. To call him inexperienced belies his obvious qualifications and falsely assumes that only career politicians can be sharp. I think Allen is sharp too and she honed that from outside of the political arena through her years as a television reporter and anchor. Just get ready for some fun with this race.
Diane Scared?
Actually this is a woman who stood toe to toe with the old boys at the networks and won age discrimination lawsuits. That takes guts and perserverance. This is a woman who has held her own in a District that has a large majority of democratic voters. I think it will be Dennison who has to defend what he brings to the table. I think there will be some very lively debates coming up; on one hand I think the 8th Distrcit will be a bit more livier - I just hope that the slander and negativity is not going to take away from issues on both sides.
gopgal
I didn't mean that she'd be literally shaking in her boots! I'm just saying that she's got a real challenge this time around. And I totally agree with your last sentence.
I've heard stories too
I've heard plenty of stories about Diane Allen. Her office helps everyone, even the cranky seniors and the homeless. And I know people who donate to her campaign get personal thank you notes. Cause I got one. So you are full of Roebling Steel dust dude. Try again.
Get your boy back to school
You know, Denny boy should go back to school for a civics lesson. He has lost his cred with me cause he doesn't know his federal from his state. He should go take on Lautenburger if he misses DC.
We all know that someone
We all know that someone with his education knows full well about federalism. Let's not be ridiculous here. Campaigns are about strategy. And they're also about issues. The Bush thing, in my opinion, is an issue because it tells us who our state senator really is. This is Democratic district and within the district she'd like to act as though she's a Democrat. But, she's not at all. Denny, as you call him, helped to show who she really is and who her friends are. But, don't worry, I'm sure he will give you plenty of good stuff on all issues of relevance. Give him a chance and I know you'll be impressed.
bad info wally
Mr. Layton is not running the organization, he is just a puppet for Paulsen. Ms. Lacy is the chair now according to the bylaws of the organization.
ASSPHALT MAN, GAME-ON!
ASSPHALT MAN...
Ok, you're sitting in Mt. Holly, in the so-to-speak Chairman's seat, and your trying to figure out one simple yet complicated question: How do I restore (or resurrect) the party to its pre-Warner status? Great question, right?
First, you need to ask Boss Paulsen to stop cutting you off when you try to assert yourself. After all, you are the da man; your ASSPHALT MAN!
Second, tell Joe Donnelly to start campaigning on the Freeholders's record of raising taxes - we hear that works real well in Cinnaminson.
Third, meet with the leaders of the M-towns and tell them to stop losing campaings. Immediately deploy Ed Waters and Rick England, and (one more field operative Jeff Kasko) to run the district 8 campaign. After all, someone needs to keep Dawn away from the Snicker's bars.
Finally, have breakfast with John Reitmeyer and beg, no plead with him to stop giving such generous coverage to Rick Perr and his band of candidates, operatives and leaders. He's really starting to make your party look weak. Remember, you are the leader of the majority party in Burlington County. Good luck, ASSPHALT MAN...
Are You For Real:
Ok first of all Bill Layton is NOT the chair, Ms. Dawn Lacey is. Secondly, Layton will be in charge or running the campaigns, and thirdly, do you honestly expect people to take you seriously with your posts?
Joe Donnely is doing just fine = he has been out for months going door to door and meeting people. In fact, with these new changes in the deck so to speak, this has made the GOP stronger and more unified. Mr. Perr should be very concerned.
I still hope we can post without the utter stupidity.
Twin GOP Blimps
I love it..."keep Dawn away from the Snickers bars". Better do the same with Diane. If these two pork up anymore they can put campaign signs on them and fly them around the county just like the Goodyear blimp. The GOP is in enough trouble in Burlington County. Two unappealing & unmarketable candidates sure won't help. Watch those diets ladies.
Your Mom
Your mommy must be so proud of you for your comments. Obvioulsy you have some real hatred there = better have it checked out.
Now that is funny
How can you not like any message that is titled Your Mom.
waistlines
I love the fact that men think a woman can't garner support unless she's svelt. I guess Denny's muffintop won't hurt his campaign...You have nothing to attack D & D on but their waists? Please. They can run circles around your peabrains, where it counts. Solutions, not rheteric. Try it some time.
thanks nero
and yes, very shallow and bitter people think it is easier to call names and make stupid comments than deal with facts and debate in a coherent manner.
Bodine and Kennedy
Richer today than yesterday.
In exchange for party switching (Bodine) and candidate endorsement (Kennedy endorsed Bodine) both of these scum bags received LARGE contracts from Evesham - you know the town Norcross purchased.
I am sure there is no paper trail - although Fran did swear-in the new Evesham councilman and minutes later his engineering firm received the largest contract awarded under the new Norcross administration.
Not sure where our county is going - but we cannot allow scum bags like Bodine and Kennedy to get away with their money grubbing, loyalty to the highest bidder tactics.
Yes - I know both parties have contributors that also receive contracts. That needs to be fixed too. What needs to change immediately is our ELECTED leaders (Bodine, Greenwald, etc) should NOT be personally profiting from their positions. They should focus on the people that voted for them and not their pensions and pocket books.
Right now, the Burlington Republican organization has the best candidates to win. They are proven as elected officials and are all hard campaigners.
They will win because of who they are and the simple fact that people are tired of the corruption that occurs in Trenton and, with Bodine and Kennedy, here in Burlington.
We will win and we can save this county and state.
BurlCo Voters Need Not Choose the Status Quo
I find it intellectually dishonest that a Republican poster would claim that a vote for BurlCo Republicans is a vote to end "corruption" when we're in fact dealing with one of the most corrupt politican machines in the state with the BurlCo Republican Party.
Perhaps the same poster has some writings against the pension padding of multi-job holder Martha Bark or thought that GOP lobbyist Robert Stears was wrong for bilking taxpayers out of millions in faux contracts and work? Perhaps I shouldn't even be responding to someone who describes Ass. Bodine as "scum" simply because he switched political parties, since that level of discourse is rather low in itself. Of course, many South Jersey Republicans are joining the Democratic Party, from Metzner to Bodine to several more, so this is part of a larger exodus.
And the argument that higher taxes in BurlCo is somehow the fault of Democrats, even though Republicans hold the county government, and have been steadily raising taxes all the while participating in illegal pay-to-play practices is so circular and dishonest that I'm not even sure how to respond.
There are better choices for BurlCo voters this November than the status quo, and that's the Dennison and Bodine tickets, respectively. It should say something about the status of the BurlCo GOP when they nominate a lobbyist and Boss Paulsen neighbor as their county head.
Corrections for Martin
Martin: Maybe you should think before you post, we all know you are a rabid Dem supporter, but your hyprocisy is showing loud and clear. Lets start with your all out support for Bodine. Earlier this year, he was a another "corrupt" GOP to you because of the whole Bark scandal, and lo and behold, he becomes a dem and all is good? forgotten? oh no. Bodine switched parties so his ego would not be further tweaked, he switched NOT because of a crisis of conscience because of GOP issues, but because he wanted to run and was going to do anything he could to achieve that. You also seem to underestimate the strength of Phil Haines. Go ahead, underestimate this man, because this man will walk over Bodine and have enough left to pull Rudder and Addiego along. Phil HAS won in pluralites before and is very popular on both sides of the aisle. I am sure Dennison is a nice enough guy, but he is a wannabe with no experience and no plans outside of bashing bush to actually take diane down. You seem to forget that in this largely dem district, diane keeps winning big over and over. Why is that? Because she has a proven record of sticking up for her constitutents and doing her job. And to your last point about "boss" Paulesn, how about those corrupt dems and dem heads in trouble? How about wayne byrant and mayor sharpe to name a few? Lets get you on the right track; Bill Layton is going to be heading the campaigns for the county, NOT be the chair; the chair is Dawn Lacy, and the Executive Director is Chris Russell. Because they learned well under Glenn Paulsen, Rick Perr should be very worried. Martin, I enjoy a good joust as well as anyone, but if you want to post on emotion and not on fact, that is ok. I will be more than happy to correct you as we go along :)
distractions, et tu?
GOPGal: That was about as much a stream of consciousness post -- complete with SHOUTING, an example of poor netiquette -- as I've ever read on this forum, and your logic is lacking in your response. I mention facts, such as the criminal probe of Martha Bark's no show jobs and GOP lobbyist Bob Stears stealing multi-million dollar non-contracts from voters; yet you refuse to address these issues. I can't stand any corruption, from any political party, including Sharpe James and Wayne Bryant. My question to you is whether you will publically criticize and distance yourself from the actions of Martha Bark and Bob Stears.
For me, Allen, whose aides have been called upon in corruption probes and is silent on corruption issues in the county, and Rudder (Scott), whose father hired Bark for her no-show jobs and is now being rewarded with a seat on a ticket, are part of the problem of widespread corruption in the BurlCo GOP; for the record, I never called Bodine corrupt, so please get your facts straight. My only issue for him is his previously right to moderate views and whether they have changed in recent times (I hope they have).
Since I believe any campaign should focus on issues, I am concerned with Allen's recent lack of leadership in the state senate; when it came to giving a modicum of rights to gays and lesbians via the civil unions bill, the supposedly "moderate" Allen refused to vote on it, just as she refused to vote on expanding statewide research with embryonic stem cells. Those are fundamentalist, anti-scientific positions that she is taking on the issue, and her refusal to vote on these issues show a genuine lack of leadership on her part.
What Glenn Paulsen has done in Burlington County is the equivalent of Norcross in Camden County: having no-bid contracts, pay-to-play quid pro quo, and political nepotism is wrong, dishonest, and anti-democratic. The status quo can't go on in BurlCo, particularly the high taxes that the Republican-led board is imposing on taxpayers, and all apologists for Republican corruption and nepotism should be ashamed. It speaks volumes that the county organizer is coming straight from a lobbying firm and has been the next door neighbor of Boss Paulsen; one wonders whether he will serve machine politics as usual or make a break and serve the area taxpayers.
Sad
Martin:
I thought that you would respond to me in that way. But I understand you are just another frustrated democrat that has shown his hatred of the GOP very clearly.
I do not know Bark or Stears however, what is apparent to me is your unabashed hatred for anything GOP; you have posted nothing of substance as to why Dennison, Bodine and any other dem running for office should win other than they are democrats. Sorry Martin, but your support of Bodine, ethic lapses and all because he is a new democrat is telling.
As far as her voting record on stem cell research and same sex unions, I will look into that a bit deeper - my understanding is that she was supportive of both. Right now, I am still waiting to hear from any dem running - dennison, bader, braxton, riley and fifs what specific plans they have for bettering our county.
Try agaim Martin One
I spoke to Allen's aides about your comments about corrution investigations. They don't know what you are talking about, but they certainly know how to file a complaint about your libelous comments. What could you possibly be talking about? I think you are making up stuff cause you have nothing else to say. Try again.
Thank you River
I do not know this Martin but it is so obvious from his posts as I mentioned that he is one angry democrat. His hatred of GOP only makes himself look petty. I could not get a straight answer regarding the indictments of stalwart dems as Sharpe James, Wayne Bryant, et al because I think he knows corruption goes both ways. Diane's office is stellar; my area unfortunately is run by Rob Andrews and Conners and Conaway. It is no question that Diane keeps getting elected because of the work she does as well as picking up the slack for those others. I have no prob discussing issues here; my new buddy ron luvitz and I agree to disagree but even luvitz who is a hard core dem can agree on simple intellectual levels and not let total bs cloud judgement. That is what makes discussing issues interesting; not someone who just espouses hate.
riverrat involved in dirty politics?
From politicsnj: "According to published reports, the state probe of Martha Bark has expanded to the Delaware River Port Authority, then-Burlington County Republican Chairman Glenn Paulsen and Carol Beske of ACT Engineers. Paulsen is Diane Allen’s chief benefactor, supporting her U.S Senate campaign and privately backing her campaign loans with the name and credit of the Burlington County Republican Party. Beske, a close advisor to former GOP candidate Doug Forrester, and her firm have donated more than $150,000 to Burlington County Republicans since 1998."
That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to BurlCo GOP corruption.
AND????
Martin you have a habit of refusing to answer point blank factual questions. Instead you start yammering about gop corruption gop corruption instead of THE FACTS at hand. Lets start slowly so you can illuminate others: What exactly are the platforms for the dems running??? What does dennison, bader, braxton, fifis, riley and bodine bring to the table that is better than the GOP?? What experience have they done to warrant their being elected> Now Martin, lets see if you can answer these simple questions without yammering on and on and on about GOP corruption - that is what is making your arguements non-credible.
And 1 more thing
Martin, how come you are not commenting on those dems today, Sharpe James, Wayne Bryant and even Corzine that refuse to end corruption??? James and Byrant are facing charges for their actions and Corzine has issues pending. Or, do they not count because they are dems and dems NEVER do anything corrupt??? Have another glass of the koolaide
as you know
Legislative aides do not have anything to do with fundraising. So what is your point?
You want to lob mud, throw it in the right direction
To River
Are you speaking to me bout the aides?
Why bother
Why bother responding to Michael Martin? He fabricates things to make his point - example: Walt Rudder "hired (Sen Martha)Bark for her no-show jobs." That is an outright lie. The Board of Education hired her in an open session. It is a matter of public record. In fact, they hired Dr. Rudder as well. So he is an employee of the BoE - he does not run it. But why let facts get in the way of your arguments? Marty will tell you any story, including dredging up stories over a year old or more to make his point seem relevant - like the one he points to in his previous post regarding the investigation. Fact is, it is not going anywhere. I actually talked to someone involved in the process to confirm this. But again, why let facts get in the way. Now, Mikey will turn the argument into "theoc is a nameless obese middle aged guy who claims the WMDs were found in Iraq, is involved in the political corruption in Burlington County (which my lawyer claims I have a pretty solid case if I wanted to pursue a slander case), and said Ferguson would win by 10 points." Oh - I forgot that he claims I said "the VA budget is adequate." Another falsehood he promotes. Each is either a) an exaggeration of what I said; b)from a post 10 months or more old which then was revisited later and amended; c) he agreed with me, yet tried to worm his way out of his statements; or d) were flat out false. So don't be surprised he won't answer your questions. Then he will be on record as saying something useful. He has yet to go after corruption in his own county - other than someone who is already in jail - and refuses to call Rick Perr out on his pay-to-play tactics. If hypocrisy is bliss. He is a wannabe who has never done a thing in politics except knock on a few doors and write some letters to the editor. So don't hold your breath gopgal - you will never get a straight answer to your questions. But you have to admire a guy who goes from the ugliest sweater on the face of the Earth to a man bag. Good choice on pictures Mikey. Those who can't do, teach. Riverrat - unfortunately, I will have to disagree with you. Staff - on their own time - has a hand in fund raising. They are a big part of the operation.
LOLOL Thanks OC
You said it all - couldnt have said it better myself! And Martin et al wonder WHY the dems in Burlco keep losing? That their candidates cannot hold muster? We know he is not to be taken seriously and you can tell this is one angry dude by his tone of posts. But I will still keep holding his feet to the fire with straight questions! Oh Boy - I see a big pitcher of that koolaide comming for Marty!
BurlCo GOP Corruption Insiders vs. NJ Taxpayers and Clean Gov.
"Trolls, trolls everywhere, and not an ounce of reason to spare." BurlCoRiverRat: A question: in the interests of transparency, do you work for any Republican political organization, and are you being paid to post on politicsnj? Furthermore, while you're arguing semantics, that is, what constitutes an aide vs. a fundraiser, the fundamental fact remains that, even if Allen is corruption-free, she keeps some incredibly shady company in the form of Boss Paulsen and other corrupt members of the BurlCo GOP. The larger picture awaits your viewing...
"the oc" (still anonymous, I see): This is the first time that you've publicly come to grips with your weight problem, and I admire your courage in fighting this health issue. In regard to the substance of your post, or the lack thereof, perhaps you can enlighten us as to how and when WMDs were found in Iraq (oh, that's right, an editor for the neocon publication The Weekly Standard said so) and how this justifies the illegitimate and resource-depleting conflict there. Further, you keep repeating that you are a part of a winning political campaign, but for the Corzine and Menendez contests, your last two political campaigns, admittedly presaged by your undying support for the Bush-Cheney ticket and their policies, you were a grand 0-for-2. Your stance on the Rudders is borderline absurd and shows your ignorance of how the public education system, particularly its hiring, works; but when you're out of work and have delusions of grandeur as withyou (in actuality, I and everyone else here could care less about what you think), I guess that is par for the course. Ah, and who could forget the claim that Ferguson would win by "9-15%" or that our veterans get sufficient health care upon their return home from conflict. Compelling stuff, I tell you.
Forgive me if I don't take the ramblings of a GOP insider like gopgal08, who contends that I make "arguements [sic] non-credible" on issues of corruption even if I actually quote sources, unlike her, and address specific bills; in return, gopgal08 only repeats mindless platitudes like "Diane Allen stands up for her constituents" or something akin rather than referring to specific bills and specific moments of leadership.
Regarding Dennison's positions, unlike the pro-war Allen, he is against the illegitimate war in Iraq which continues to kill New Jerseyans. He also favors universal health care and increased funding for public education in the state. Of course, Dennison doesn't have a website up yet, much less a broad policy positions statement, just as the 5th and 6th district Republican challengers don't. I answered your question; now please answer mine:
1). You previously stated that the BurlCo GOP leadership should be so "lucky" as to learn from Glenn Paulsen. Do you think that Paulsen, who has engaged in illegal pay-to-play activities and general dishonest practices, is an example of clean, transparent governance, or do you distance yourself from his corrupt practices?
2). Further, you stated that you "thought" that Allen supported stem cell research and civil unions for gays and lesbians. If so, why did Allen refuse to vote for expanding stem cell research, a vital industry in N.J., and also refuse to vote for granting basic rights for gays and lesbians? Furthermore, why was she only amongst a handful of legislators who voted against a clean needle exchange bill that would have helped stop the spread of AIDS and other infectious diseases?
3). Previously, I asked you whether you would distance yourself and publically condemn the corrupt practices of Martha Bark and Bob Stears, not whether you knew them. These are members of the GOP hierarchy in BurlCo, yet the violated the public trust through no-show jobs and faux contracts. Will you, here and now, condemn their actions in a public forum, or are you too partisan?
In closing, It's been a pleasure debating you and exposing the weaknesses of your argument. I look forward to your responses.
What Debate?
Sorry Martin but all you did was ramble. Kinda hard to speak rationally or to even RESPOND to hatred. I also think that it is telling that you ONCE again refuse to acknowledge ANY wrong doing by your dems especially up in Trenton. I wonder why. And once again, you keep harping that Diane is pro war; unless the system of our govt changed, how could Diane vote for the war? Or anything bush wants? I guess in your manic rantings you forget state senators cannot lobby that vote huh? As far as Dennison goes, he is another dem hack that will lose. Maybe you should do him a service and remind him he is running against diane allen and her record and not george bush. I look forward to the next set of mindless rants
One More Thing
In re-reading your rant for the third time to try to decipher what you were saying, let me say that as far as I am concerned, Getting paid for no show jobs is wrong, and Bark should be accountable as well as Stears and anyone else. I wonder how Bodine is gonna respond to why he protected her and right?
So if you are anti corruption, what do you think about Sharpe James and Wayne Bryant with their corruption?
And it bears repeating, but George Bush has nothing to do with NJ politicws. I know you are having a hard time with that but try to understand the difference. Last I heard, Bush didnt raise my taxes in my town, Bush didnt create the problems with auto insurance in NJ, Bush didnt create the eminant domain issues surrounding some towns - so go ahead Martim, keep telling everyone how Bush is responsible.
As far as the war goes, your comments about people in NJ losing loved ones overseas is really insulting. How dare you speak for those people - did they ask you to? Why dont you speak to those people here who are proud to serve their country overseas and support their commander in chief. Maybe you should talk to the families of those folks who are overseas and realize as much as they do not like them being there, they are proud they are serving their country with honor.
If you are representative of what dennison and the other dems are all about, then for sure I will not be supporting any of them any time soon. I would be embarrassed to have you speaking on behalf of my party because you cannot communicate without anger. That is not healthy.
sorry GOPgal08
Sorry for the confusion. I was directing my comment to MartinOne, who has a penchant for throwing mud at every "R' and hoping it will stick on someone.
Predictable
Gopgal - Did I call it? He is so predictable. But his hypocrisy and outright falsehoods are commonplace on this site. I must agree with you with regards to calling the spineless man bag wearing twerp out on speaking for people who have lost loved ones in Iraq. I lost a nephew who was a Marine in Iraq over a year ago. When I brought this up in a rebuttal to him, he told me I should not inject personal anecdotes into the debate and I was wrong for doing so. Can you believe that? But touching on some of his comments (which he loves to cut and paste because he has zero original thoughts of his own – must be pillow talk from his good buddy Rickie), again, he forgets how to tell the truth about many statements he has made. First, I was not involved in either of the campaigns he mentioned. I was working on other campaigns at the time. For the record, I have worked many House races and several Senate races, all of which have been successful. Nice try Marty. Keep trying to knock me down in order to make your life long attempt to be someone in politics look real. It won't work. I never said anything about veterans having adequate health care - pro or con. I successfully proved that you are clueless when you said the Republican-led Congress "cut" the VA budget when they actually increased the funding to historic levels. You deny saying it? You bring up a quote from me in May of 2006 which I said Mike would win by 10 pts, but failed to do your homework. Later that year - in October of 2006 - I stated that it would be a lot closer than I had previously predicted based on my talking with people involved in the campaign but that Mike would still win. Did he? But why tell the whole truth when you can manipulate what people say to make your argument? Lastly, you still claim to know more than anyone regarding the Bark situation. You are wrong. I know the Burl Co education system far better than you. I have known Walt Rudder and his family for over 15 years. And my father was an elected BoE member in another town in NJ. Walt Rudder did not hire Martha Bark - period. You have no idea what you are talking about. Just because you are a leech on the tit of the educational system in another jurisdiction does not mean you know more than me about the system. Finally, before anyone else should have to answer a single question from the likes of you, why don't you answer questions from gopgal? Or why don't you public ally condemn the pay-to-play tactics of Rick Perr? I assume you are involved in the illegal practices because you have refused to condemn them? How about the Norcross machine? Where are your calls for investigations there? Do you support Fran's son-in-law getting a job in exchange for Fran making the switch? There are plenty more I could mention but your refusal to denounce them means you are involved and complicit in the illegal activities. What's good for the goose wearing a man bag.....those who can't do, teach!
Don't argue with Martin....
Don't bother to argue with Martin. He's right all the time, didn't you know? After all, he uses PoliticsNJ.com news items and posts as "sources" (especially the ones critical of Republicans) for all his whines and conspiracy posts!!!
For jkasko:
Though I'll get to gopgal08 and theoc's rambling diatribes later on, I just wanted to mention to jkasko first that I was thinking of him when I made a compliment on those in the party in question calling out their own members when they betray public trust.
Secondly, though conventional wisdom is that the district 5 and 6 Republican challengers have no chance of winning in November, I did do a write-up of their positions and views, and I'd love to hear what you think. (It's been crossposted on Blue Jersey and the Courier Post forums). http://www.bluejersey.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=5031
