WEBBER FOR ASSEMBLY STATEMENT ON A3928
Morris Plains, NJ - Commenting today on the introduction of A3928, which requires instruction on the contributions and sacrifices of United States veterans as part of the Core Curriculum Content Standards for Social Studies, Assembly candidate Jay Webber made this statement:
"I thank Assemblymen DeCroce and Malone and Assemblywoman McHose for joining my call to fix the egregious mistake the Legislature made in relieving our public schools of the obligation to teach our children about our brave soldiers, past and present. I support their important legislation, and call on every member of the Legislature to co-sponsor it as a demonstration of our commitment to preserving our veterans' heroic legacy. We have an obligation to raise our kids with the highest respect and admiration for one of the noblest and most powerful forces for good the world has ever known -- the American military."
