SENATOR BOB MENENDEZ TO PARTICIPATE IN BOWL-A-THON SALUTING NJ's UP-AND-COMING GENERATION

Event Hosted by Largest Statewide Organization for Young Professional Democrats
to Raise Funds to Support Party and Candidates Under 40

Jamesburg- Democrats 2000, New Jersey's largest and most active organization for young professional Democrats, will host their annual Fall Classic Saturday evening to bring together supporters and energize young voters across the State in support of Democratic candidates running this year at the local, county and national level. Funds raised at this Democratic Bowl-A-Thon will be used to support the campaigns of young candidates running in November as well as to educate young voters about this year's elections."We are honored that Senator Menendez will be spending part of his Saturday evening with us this weekend," stated Steve Lenox, President. "While his opponent seems to be more comfortable spending time with his out-of-touch friends at country clubs and raising money at corporate board meetings, Senator Menendez is clearly at home with the voters that need strong representatives in Washington who will stand up to the failed policies of George Bush."

The Democrats 2000 annual Fall Classic will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Mid State Lanes, Old Bridge Turnpike, East Brunswick.

More than 200 young, professional Democrats from across the state are expected to attend this $40 per person event which has already raised more than $30,000 and will feature music, pizza and bowling. Since 2002, Democrats 2000 has raised more than $200,000, supported the campaigns of more than 100 candidates 40 years old and under, and played an important role in Democratic campaigns at every level.
