State Sen. Loretta Weinberg on Monday will formally announce her endorsement of Barack Obama for President, joining U.S. Rep. Steve Rothman in what Rothman describes as "the effort to expand Obama’s support in New Jersey and across the region."

Obama and Weinberg
Never liked Weinberg, but an excellent choice. Now show your leadership by getting Booker (Newark) who already endorsed Obama, Torres (Paterson), and Faison (Camden) togehter and build the endorcement. Beating the Clintons in New Jersey would be a great accomplishment. The GOP has Giuliani locked and she won't win in NJ against America's Mayor. Will Hillary wear a scarf or a rag on her head when visiting the middle east; Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Syria, if elected? Watch her bow down to those woman haters! Go for it Loretta/girlfriend, help get Barack (Hussein) Obama elected for your primary in NJ.
Weinberg/Obama endorsement.
Why do I get the feeling that because of the legislative district which Ms. Weinberg represents - enjoying a very large, affluent and hard working, independent thinking, yuppie-type, Afro American community... she is endorseing Obama?
East of Teaneck Road and West of Grand Avenue is a model of accomplishment for all America. Impeccable homes, well dressed kids, new cars in the driveway, great people with Smiles on their face.
However, I just can't seem to accept a Weinberg/Obama marriage.
As they say in Vegas - "it just don't look right". (sorry for the Archie Bunker implication - but it just don't look right.)
BTW: I guess everybody knows that Hillary will get the Democratic party nod, so why Not play to the crowd?
.......and then through no fault of your own, aquiesce to the party candidate
Hillary '08
Be There!
Good decision.
Sen. Weinberg makes a great call in backing Obama. Hillary may be making moves with NJ "power brokers," but Obama is building a true grassroots movement, the power and strength of which many NJ pols apparently have yet to grasp. Kudos to Sen. Weinberg for understanding that while Hillary may have more pols in her pocket, Obama has the people.
Not surprised
but Obama can't beat Hillary.
Beating Hillary
It isn't the endorsments that will give Hillary the nod as everyone seems to think. It is fantastic that Sen. Obama has recieved another endorsment in New Jersey though I must say again endorsments only go so far. It is the people who will make all of this count. I recently went to New Hampshire for the Obama campaign and had maybe 2 people say that they might vote for Hillary and not a word out of another the whole weekend that anyone was supporting Clinton. Polls are polls but they don't tell the whole story and most people haven't even made up their minds. Clinton may be ahead in most polls but most polls barely tell you anything at all. Don't count on the polls count on the people and their voice to be heard this election. Sen. Weinberg is making sure that hers is heard in a state whose top leaders have decided to back that which they see as "inevitable"
