Conover Calls Property Taxes in New Jersey “Artificial Issue
Blee Defends His Running-mate
(Egg Harbor Township) – Second District Assembly candidates Jim Whelan and Damon Tyner today said Kirk Conover’s reference to property taxes as an “artificial issue on the Pinky Kravitz show is proof positive he is out of touch with what Atlantic County voters consider the number one issue in the state.
“Kirk Conover called property taxes an artificial issue on the Pinky Kravitz show, said Tyner. “Conover is so out of touch that he doesn’t even recognize what the most important issue in the state is. Property taxes are out of control in New Jersey and a Citizen’s Convention must be held to bring homeowners the relief they need and deserve. Conover is out of the loop on the property tax issue. What planet is Captain Kirk living on?
In a debate against Tyner on the Pinky Kravitz show Monday night Kirk Conover referred to property taxes as an “artificial issue, raising serious questions about Conover’s competence as a career politician. Two nights later, on Wednesday, Frank Blee defended his running-mate’s categorization of property taxes as being an “artificial issue in a debate against Jim Whelan.
“Frank Blee and Kirk Conover should be ashamed of themselves for saying property taxes are an artificial issue, said Whelan. “Seniors and working-class families are being taxed out of their homes by career politicians like Frank Blee and Kirk Conover. Conover votes to raise taxes but never pays his own. Something is terribly wrong with Blee and Conover if they can’t recognize what the most important issue in New Jersey is.
Whelan and Tyner support a Citizen’s Convention on property taxes to bring overdue relief to homeowners.
