Clare Farragher, a Republican who represented Monmouth County in the State Assembly from 1987 to 2004, retired to Florida last April. She is living in Vero Beach and says she is "adjusting well to my new right knee." Farragher says she does not miss New Jersey politics, but does "miss all the friends I made during my 30 years in Freehold."

Isn't it sad that a former Assemblywoman, a kind and gentle woman who served honorably for four terms, and who is simply sending word back to us of her whereabouts is greeted on this website by nothing but nastiness from the likes of ebmd and Mr. Democrat? "Hi Claire. It was good to hear from you. Hope all is well." would have been the appropriate response. Where is the gain in beating people down senselessly?? I don't get it.
