Â
Members of the 37th Legislative District gathered Thursday evening at the County’s Democratic Headquarters in Hackensack to select the official recipients of the Party’s support for the upcoming primary election in June.
Â
“We are focused on delivering for the people of the 37th District, said Zisa, Chief of the Hackensack Police Department. “Our current representation has failed to deliver relief for the hard working families of this district. With property taxes skyrocketing and the cost of education soaring, the people of the 37th need help. We’re running to make sure they get it.
Â
The victory brings together more than 50 years of public service on one ticket. Wildes, currently serving his second term as the Mayor of Englewood, served on the City Council for 5 years and spent nearly 4 years with the United States Attorney’s Office. Zisa has been a law enforcement officer for over 30 years, serving as an investigator for the Bergen County Narcotics Task Force and as a member of the Hackensack Police Department. He has served as Hackensack's Police Chief since 1995.He also served the residents of the 37th District for 8 years as their Assemblyman.
Â
“I am extremely proud to join Michael and Ken on this ticket. Their decades of law enforcement and legislative service combined with my financial experience are the perfect combination to deliver the real results the people of the 37th want, said Wilson, currently the Director of Equity Research with Kevin Dann & Partners LLC.
