NATIONAL WEEK OF ACTION TO SUPPORT WORKERS' RIGHTS UNDERWAY
New Jersey Union Members to Speak Out Against Anticipated NLRB Decision on Thursday
Trenton- Union members from across New Jersey will join together along with Newark Mayor Cory Booker and Assemblyman Tom Giblin (D-34) tomorrow, Thursday, July 13, 2006 outside of the National Labor Relations Board’s New Jersey office to speak out against their anticipated rulings in three cases currently pending in Washington, D.C. This rally, which will begin at 12:00 p.m. and be held in Washington Park in Newark, is being hosted by the New Jersey State AFL-CIO as part of a National Week of Action in which hundreds of thousands of union members take to the streets in cities across America to fight for their right to union membership.
The three cases currently under consideration by the Board, collectively known as "Kentucky River," have the potential to further erode workers' rights to form and join unions by expanding the definition of supervisors. Under current federal labor law, supervisors are barred from forming unions. Last month, more than 7,000 nurses and other health care workers at eight New Jersey hospitals refused to agree to new contracts until language protecting them from this impending decision was added.
"It is unfortunate that the only consistency we have seen from President Bush’s White House has been their unwavering attacks on workers' rights," stated Charles Wowkanech, President, New Jersey State AFL-CIO. "With the NLRB filled with Bush appointees, we know that the cards are stacked in his favor, and he has used all of his power to silence us in this fight. However, while the NLRB has decided not take oral arguments in this case, we will be heard in this matter."

It just goes to show once more that the union party bosses are only looking out for themselves rather than their rank and file.
The powers that be of New Jersey Labor Unions support liberal hacks and funnel millions of dollars, a great deal of which are union dues of hard working men and women who are threatened to do so against their will, into the campaigns of people like Roberto "Che" Menendez who support amnesty for illegal aliens who are taking jobs away from union workers who worked long and hard to obtain a respectable wage and health benefits and doing them for minimum and/or substandard wages.
The reason this happens is because even after union workers finally receive reapectable wages, the thugs that lead these unions constantly demand more and more every time their contract expires. As a result, corporations start seeing illegals as a major cost cutting measure and in the long run costing their rank and file their jobs.
Naturally, these thugs don't care because it's not their responsibility to put food on the tables of the people who ended up losing these jobs.
So who's looking out for the rank and file union worker? It's not Roberto "Che" Menendez and it sure as hell isn't your union leadership.
