SEN. CARDINALE ENDORSES MEMBER OF CALIGUIRE TEAM FOR FREEHOLDER Hackensack NJ – Conservative State Senator Gerald Cardinale (R-39th District) has announced he is endorsing Robert Yudin for freeholder in the upcoming June 6 Republican Primary election in Bergen County. Yudin, a Wyckoff resident, is running on the Responsible Republican ticket of the official Bergen County Republican Organization headed by Todd Caliguire.
In a letter to Yudin, Cardinale said he was endorsing the Wyckoff business owner for his “years of service to your town, your dogged persistence and your sense of responsibility. You will make a great freeholder and an excellent standard bearer for our party.
Cardinale also noted he was supporting Yudin because of his efforts to peacefully resolve the dispute among Republicans at the GOP convention in March. Cardinale attempted to broker a compromise deal that would have opened the convention process and avoided a Primary Election battle.
Yudin – who has been a member of the local fire department for 28 years -- said he is very proud to be endorsed by Cardinale, because the senator, “has been a great representative of Republican values and ideals in Trenton.
“To receive the backing of a man like Gerry Cardinale has special meaning for me because, like me, he is willing to work for a united and victorious Republican Party, said Yudin. “The way to win in November is to have a bold agenda that will cut the size of government and represent a true alternative to the Democrat machine that controls Bergen County.
“When the Caliguire Team wins the Primary Election next week, we will look forward to working with Gerry to unite Republicans around an agenda that will bring people the property tax relief they want, added Yudin.
