Zulima doesn't want to leave

Zulima Farber is strongly resisting advice from friends that she resign quickly, according to a source close to the Attorney General. In an interview last month, Farber had told NJN's Michael Aron that she would step down if the Special Prosecutor concludes that she should.

The point is that people should not be judged on color.

Putting a black, white or hispanic in a position because of their race is wrong.

Our society has reached a point where the rainbow is accepted. I favor giving the most qualified people positions.

I wish we only saw in one color. It would eliminate many problems.

Wow, that's a pretty serious accusation you are tossing around. I am no Bush fan, but I give him credit for looking for the most qualified candidates in spite of race , color or gender. Who there is not highly qualified?

The Attorney general has a moral obligation to do everything in his or her power to instill confidence that our laws are being enforced fairly and impartially.

Under the current circumstances, it is entirely impossible for AG Farber to meet that standard and she should step down before the legislative hearing begin.

It is genuinely hard to believe that AG Farber could possibly make Peter Harvey look good. But, she seems to have succeeded.

If Farber doesn't resign immediately it is because she feels bitter and betrayed and wants to get even with the people whom she felt should've stood up for her by dragging them down with her in typical Hudson County political fashion.

Are you listening Bob?

She is a disgrace and the Governor should show the same backbone he did during the budget fight and call for her resignation immediately.

If she doesn't go now then let the legislature impeach her.

Judge Williams report does not ask for her resignation. It merely cites some violations of the ethics code. The AG is not retreating on her pledge made on NJN.
One cannot be impeached for an ethics violation, you must break the law to be impeached.
I suggest you read the report.

midstatedem is taking the Clinton tactic of defending inexcusable behavior by distracting us from the issue at hand. Correct, abusing the authority of her office wasn't illegal in this case, but it was wrong. Clinton's actions with Monica weren't illegal either but they were wrong (although lying under oath about those actions was criminal)
Midstatedem throws the report and "procedural" nonsense about impeachment out there to distract from inexcusable behavior. The dems distracted us from Clinton's perjury but switching the topic to sex in the White House and how a 40 yr old man getting some from a 20 yr old subordinate isn't criminal just unethical. Zulima needs to go. She has no respect for laws she was appointed to uphold.

Maybe she won't leave because she has something to say about how this whole thing got leaked out to begin with. Fairview...that's in Bergen County right? Wonder if there is anyone in Bergen County who the AG's office might be looking into who would have the ability to make sure a story like this got out and embarrassed the AG...sure, it's just a "crazy" thought.

Actually Mike, if this happened anywhere else besides Fairview I would disagree with you but I actually don't think that that's too farfetched.

Fairview is a breeding ground for political corruption. So much so that the people who run the town don't even want you to know who they are which doesn't really matter since they're all pawns of Cliffside Park Mayor Gerald Calabrese anyway.

Being that Zulima herself is clearly ethically challenged, while people in Fairview know that their government is corrupt, without stone cold evidence of that corruption, that puts the powers that be in Fairview in the driver's seat.(pun intended.) Infact, if memory serves me correct, I believe the Fairview Police Officer that pulled Zulima's boyfriend Goober Grape over was the Mayor's son.

Very possible Mike.

Distracting us from the issue at hand is the Bush administrations specailty. They lied about weapons of mass destruction, blew the war effort in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bush is a draft dodging, former coke using, SEC investigation quelling little bitch.
He has lowered our international clout to zilch.

Sen. Robert Menendez says he hopes that Attorney General Zulima

Sen. Robert Menendez says he hopes that Attorney General Zulima Farber "will act according to the best interests of the state." In a statement released this afternoon, Menendez said: " “The special prosecutor’s report concludes that while the Attorney General did not break the law, she did violate the state’s code of ethics. The public has a right to expect that government officials uphold the highest standards of integrity, and these offenses are serious. A cabinet member can only perform the duties of their office if they have the full confidence of the governor and the public. I hope the Attorney General will act according to the best interests of the state." (08/15/06)

Let's make one thing clear here, Bush was a REPUBLICAN draft dodger and former coke user. I think that is a very important factor to acknowledge when you spew your hatred for Bush, Midstatedem. Indeed it may be more important to you than the fact that he was a draft dodger and coke user at all.

I think another mistake of Clinton's that you are paying for more so than he is his disregard of any educational standards in our public schools as evident by chain of grammar/spelling errors -- "the Bush administrations specailty" "sufered fro his mostake" and "When will Bush suffer for his mistakes." is a question not a statement.

Finally, the use of "little bitch" could be offensive to some. In fact one could argue it reveals a misogynistic undercurrent.

Ethnicity had NOTHING to do with Zulima Farber being ethically challenged and compromising her power.

We all know that Farber, who had multiple traffic violations and four bench warrants for her arrest was NOT qualified for this job and the only reason she got it in the first place was because she was one of Bob Menendez's Hudson County cronies.

There have been plenty of Hudson County public servants that have acted unethically that are black, white, and hispanic.

Hudson County has proven time and time again to be the most politically corrupt county in the entire state of New Jersey and is right up there with Cook County, Illinois as one of the most corrupt in the entire country.

Let's remember this come November folks.

It's just an interesting curiosity that two Latinas go to serve in New Jersey adminstrative government, and they last a total of less than one year.

Zulima Farber thinks she is above the law.

Rules are not made to be broken. The old man who got a ticket on the same day had to borrow money to pay the fine.

Hamlet was permitted to drive an unregistered vehicle without a valid license. He was permitted to do so because Super Farber came to save the day.

The mere presence of Farber at the traffic stop scene is equal to some wise guy saying "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" "ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?"

Average Joe Citizen would have paid for a tow and a fine.

People do think this way.

Jobs are given to people based on color.
Qualifications don't count.

Bush is a prime example-Bush chose people based on color(not white) in order to make him look like he gave opportunities to all.

ALL PEOPLE MUST STOP THIS PRACTICE!
